Bold and Colorful Cut Crease

This week's makeup look is a dramatic one.  I realize that there are those of us that prefer wearable, day to day makeup.  Others like really colorful and dramatic makeup looks.  This is definitely the latter!
I couldn't resist getting playful after having a really rough week!
I needed the creative exercise :-)

I hope you like it!

For the eyes, I used a combination of makeup from my Coastal Scents 252 Palette and Sugarpill Cosmetics.   You really can use any brand of makeup you prefer, but I will explain how I created the look using what I had on hand.

EYES:

♥ UDPP
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lid up to crease
♥ Ulta shadow in Naked from brow to crease
♥ A bright orange shadow from the 252 palette to lid
♥ A deep purple shadow applied to outer corner and to cut crease
(Take your time on this step. Delicate strokes are critical!)
♥ A deep red from the 252 palette gently placed above the crease
♥  A softer red used above the darker red to blend the crease up and out
towards brow bone
♥ Sugarpill black shadow in Bulletproof to lower lash line
♥ Apply black mascara to lashes, and black eyeliner to lash and water line
♥ Red Cherry Lashes in 47's to upper lashes
♥ To the lower lashes, I applied a pair of really weird lashes that I got at Forever 21
a million years ago... I trimmed them, inverted them, and glued them in place.
♥ For added drama, I popped in a pair of circle lenses.
I am wearing these. Kimchi Bambi Grey.

BLUSH & CONTOUR:

♥ Nyx Dusty Rose applied to apples of cheeks
♥ Coastal Scents contour palette:
Dark brown shade used to contour cheek bones, temples, nose, and jaw.
White shade used to highlight center of forehead, under eyes, tip of nose, and chin.

LIPS:

♥ Nyx Round Lipstick in Paparazzi
♥ Nyx Round Gloss in Doll Pink

There it is, and I'm exhausted!!  Ha ha!!  Although this was really involved, it was a blast to create. :-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I truly appreciate it :-)
xoxo,
Colleen

Subtle Sugarpill

When I think of Sugarpill Cosmetics, "subtle" is not usually the first thing that comes to
mind :-)

Sugarpill is renowned for their incredibly pigmented and bold colors, so creating a "delicate" look using Sugarpill is a blast.  I wanted to do something shimmery and fresh for Spring.  This is an adorable and easy look for the season... and Easter is right around the corner! ;-)

Hope you like it!

EYES:

♥ UDPP
♥ Nyx Jumbo pencil in Yogurt to lid
♥ Ulta shadow in Naked from brow bone down to crease
♥ Sugarpill loose shadow in Lumi to inner corner
♥ Sugarpill loose shadow in Paperdoll to lid
♥ Sugarpill loose shadow in Magpie to outer corner and crease

                                                   Lumi              Paperdoll             Magpie

♥ Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics loose shadow in Saturate to lower lash line
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to water line, set with a white shadow
♥ Black eyeliner, mascara
♥ Lashes in Red Cherry 523's

BLUSH:

♥ Ulta Blush in Afterglow

LIPS:

♥ Nyx Round Lipstick in Muse
♥ NYC Lip Shine in Sun Gold pink

Happy Spring, everyone!  I'm so glad it's finally here!  (You may have heard, it recently snowed where I live in Arizona!! I KNOW!! I could barely figure out that weird frozen water!! Ha ha!)  ;-)
Best wishes, everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by!
xoxo,
Colleen

Arabian Night Sky/ Jasmine Storylook Palette Vol. 2

Hi Everyone! I hope you are doing well! :-)

When I saw this palette, I had to have it!  Not only is it a work of art, but the color assortment is awesome.  You can easily create day to night looks using this, and it's really versatile for many skin tones :-) It's gorgeous.

Also.  Jasmine.  Ok.  I have to be honest.... I've always been super jealous of  Princess Jasmine.... ALADDIN IS BEAUTIFUL!!  Of all the crushes I've had -Indiana Jones, Keanu, Jamie Campbell Bower (commonly known as "JCB" here at home), Ashton, Brad, Pony Boy from The Outsiders, etc...  Aladdin was always at the top of my list!! And he's a CARTOON! (Calling my therapist in the morning...)

*Sigh*  Jasmine is one lucky lady...

On to the makeup!  My inspiration for this look was a beautiful starlit Arabian night sky.
Hope you like it!

Palette and its beautiful case :-)

EYES:

♥ UDPP
♥ Ali Ababwa (matte vanilla) shade from brow to crease
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Iced Mocha to lid
♥ Master (dark purple) to crease and outer V
♥ Cosmic (shimmery gold) to inner corner
♥ Raja (deep orange) to lid
♥ Mystical Wonder (shimmery periwinkle) to blend and diffuse Master up and out towards
the brow bone
♥ Arabian Sunset (bright peach) to brow bone. I did this to create a nightfall effect :)
White liner and shadow to waterline
♥ Lapis (matte teal) and Blue Oasis (light blue) to lower lash line
Black mascara and eyeliner
Red Cherry lashes in WSP

BLUSH:

♥ Thrilling Chase

 LIPS:

♥ Nyx Round Lipstick in Fig
♥ Nyx Round Lip Gloss in Bronze

It was a lot of fun playing with these colors to create this look.  It's such a great collection. I know I'll get a lot of use out of it :-) Hope you have enjoyed it!

Happiness forever and always to my favorite Disney couple :-)

Best wishes everyone!!
I hope you have a blessed day :-)  Thank you so much for stopping by.  It really means the world to me.
xoxo,
Colleen

St. Patrick's Day Makeup

With an Irish first name and a mop of red hair, it would've been a crime to NOT present a St. Patrick's day makeup look! (Believe it or not, I'm not Irish at all- my family is of Scottish descent, but that doesn't prevent me from enjoying the holiday, the culture, the food, and the green adult beverages...)

I've been in a really colorful, well blended, gradient eyeshadow mood lately... so this is suiting me perfectly.  And with these shadows, this was a snap to do.  They blended together effortlessly.
I hope you like it!

Colors for this look come from Rose Marie Shadows :-)
This brand is turning out to be one of my new faves!
(I'm not being compensated in any way to say that! ♥)

EYES:

♥ Urban Decay Primer Potion
♥ Ulta Shadow in Naked from brow bone down to crease
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt to lid and gently blended out
♥ Rose Marie Shadow in Buddha to inner corner
♥ Rose Marie Shadow in Millionaire to lid
♥ Rose Marie Shadow in The Huntress to outer V and crease
♥ Rose Marie Shadow in Winter Green to crease and blended up and out towards brow bone
♥ Rose Marie Shadow in New Moon to lower lash line
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to waterline, set with a white eyeshadow
♥ Black eyeliner and mascara
♥ Red Cherry Lashes in 47's

BLUSH:

♥ E.L.F Tickled Pink

LIPS:

♥ E.L.F. Lipstick in Fantasy
I love the packaging on this gloss!!

There you go!! I hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick's day and an awesome March!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Truly love it when you do :-)
XOXO,
Colleen
