Flirty Neutrals with a Pop of Color

Hey everyone!

There is never a bad time to wear neutrals.  They are beautiful day to night, and look beautiful on every skin tone.

For this week's makeup look, I wanted to do a softly blended neutral eye look, and add a zing of color.  I absolutely couldn't resist after I picked up an AWESOME eyeshadow pencil this week.
I wanted to do something wearable and daring.  A bit flirty :-)

*FUN FACT*  Most of the cosmetics used this week are UK brands!!
This is the most delightful British Invasion ever!

Let's get on with it!

Here are the tools used:

EYES:

♥ UDPP
♥ NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lid
♥ MUA Cosmetics Palette in Glamour Nights

♥  Shade #6 (buff) to brow bone down to crease
♥ Shade #1 (white) to inner corner
♥ Shade #2 (gold) to center of lid and lower inner corner
♥ Shade #3 (bronzey brown) to crease blended out to brow bone
♥ Shade #4 (black) to outer V and crease
♥ Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Pencil in Blamed Blue
to lower lash line
♥ Black eyeliner to lash and water line
♥ Red Cherry Lashes in 43's
♥ Black mascara
*Note* I added a tiny gemstone to the outer corner of my lower lash line.
It's tricky to see in the photos, but it's an optional step :-)

BLUSH:

♥ The darker pink from the MUA Artiste Collection :-)

LIPS:

♥ MUA Lipstick in Shade #6
♥ MUA Sheer Finish Lip Gloss in "Can't Stop"

I love how wearable and versatile this turned out!
Hope you like it as well :-)

Have a wonderful week!!  Thanks again for visiting! I truly love it when you do!

xoxo,
Colleen

P.S.  Huge project almost complete!! Very excited.  STAY TUNED!

Moonstone

Hey everyone!

For this week's makeup look, I take inspiration from one of my favorite gemstones. :-)

Rainbow moonstone has always been a favorite of mine.  I wear it on a daily basis and always have it with me (ask my husband). Aside for the comfort in brings me, it shimmers nearly every color when you catch it in the light.

So for this week's look, I was inspired by a necklace I wore for the first time this week :-)

In this photo you can't see the rainbow that the moonstone reflects,
but it is amazing and lovely in every way :-)

INSPIRED!

EYES:

♥ UDPP
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lid
♥ Ulta Shadow in Naked from Brow to crease
♥ Sugarpill Loose Shadow in Lumi to inner corner and lid
♥ Sugarpill Loose Shadow in Paperdoll to center of lid
I love how this color gives this look a beautiful glow :-)
♥ Sugarpill Pressed Shadow in Bulletproof to outer corner, crease
and lower lash line
♥ Mauve shadow from the Coastal Scents Eyeshadow/ Blush Palette
(any neutral shade will work) applied above crease
and blended out
♥ Nyx Pressed Shadow in Princess Pink used to diffuse mauve color up and out
♥ Black eyeliner applied to lash and water line
♥ Red Cherry Lashes in 523's
♥ Black Liquid liner
♥ Black mascara

BLUSH & CONTOUR:

♥ Nyx Powder Blush in Amber applied to apples of cheeks
♥ Coastal Scents Contour Palette
Dark brown shade used to contour cheek bones, temples, nose, and jaw.
White shade used to highlight center of forehead, under eyes, tip of nose, and chin.

 LIPS:

♥ NYC Lipstick in Sugarplum
♥ Juice Beauty Reflecting Gloss in Pink

It just now dawned on me what a FABULOUS idea it is to grab inspiration from JEWELRY!!
I can't wait to tell my husband! He will be THRILLED!! ;-)

I hope you have a wonderful week!! :-)
Thank you so much for visiting, I truly love it when you do!
xoxo,
Colleen

P.S.
BIG project still underway! Stay tuned!

Brilliant Blue

Hey Everyone!

For this week's makeup look I wanted to do something glam, bold, and relatively easy to do :-)

Hey, I realize that not all my readers have a lot of time to glam up, or may not be comfortable with contouring, blending, WHATEVER.
We all have different skill levels when it comes to makeup, so I say whatever works for you is best!

Also, I wanted to play with my favorite indie brand of mineral makeup (Rose Marie Shadows) since I had such a terrible time with a different brand a couple of weeks ago.  :-(
I had a ton of colors to choose from, but I kept going back to ONE over and over!

I chose a breathtaking blue with incredible richness and dimension. It's called Abyss and it's STUNNING.

I hope you like it!

The Tools:

The lashes I selected are Red Cherry 41's and they are a wispy pair with a lower layer to them. Awesome. :-)

 EYES:

♥ UDPP
♥ Ulta Shadow in Naked from brow bone to crease
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Steel to lid and lower lash line
♥ Rose Marie Shadow in Abyss to lid up to crease, and also on lower lash line
♥ Rose Marie Shadow in Illusion to crease, blended up and out towards brow bone
♥ Black eyeliner to lash and water line
♥ Black mascara
♥ *optional* I added a clear gem to the center of my lower lash line,
but it did not photograph very well.
In natural light in was adorable :-)

BLUSH & CONTOUR:

♥ Ulta Powder Blush in Adore applied to apples of cheeks
♥ Coastal Scents Contour Palette
Dark brown shade used to contour cheek bones, temples, nose, and jaw.
White shade used to highlight center of forehead, under eyes, tip of nose, and chin.

LIPS:
♥ Nyx Round Lipstick in Ceto
♥ Nyx Round Lip Gloss in Kiss

Thanks so much for stopping by! I truly love it when you do!
I hope you have a great week!

xoxo,
Colleen

P.S.  Stay tuned...  I've been working on a huge project, and there will be more info coming up on that soon!

Best wishes!

Gold Glitter

Hey Everyone :-)

For this week's makeup look, I wanted to do a glamorous and flirty "Night Out" kind of look.
This is really bold, and I'm not always a huge fan of working with glitter (only because it gets EVERYWHERE) but I LOVE how this turned out!

Hope you like it!

The Tools:

EYES:

♥ UDPP
♥  Ulta Shadow in Naked from brow to crease
♥ Brown shadow to crease. I used "Bazaar" from the Disney Jasmine Palette.
♥ Shimmery soft pink shadow used to blend the brown crease color
up and out towards brow.  I used "Sultana".
♥ Shimmery vanilla shadow to inner corner of upper and lower lid.
I used "Sand In The Glass".
♥  Eyeshadow adhesive applied to lid
♥ Nyx Glitter in Gold carefully packed on to adhesive
♥ Black eyeliner to lash and waterline
♥ Black mascara
♥ Red Cherry Lashes in 523's

BLUSH & CONTOUR:

♥ Nyx Powder Blush in Mauve applied to apples of cheeks
♥ Coastal Scents Contour Palette
Dark brown shade used to contour cheek bones, temples, nose, and jaw.
White shade used to highlight center of forehead, under eyes, tip of nose, and chin.

LIPS:

♥ Nyx Round Lipstick in B52
♥ Nyx Round Lip Gloss in Peach

I love how it turned out.  Definitely eye catching!!
I have glitter all over my house now :-)  My husband loves it.  Just kidding.

Colleen
