The Parallel Worlds Makeup Collection by Nyx

Hey Everyone :-)

Sorry if I've been a bit M.I.A. lately! I've actually been quite under the weather.  I'm recovering as best as I can and when I have the energy I've been working on a couple of posts. ☺

This is one of them!

I'm quite excited about this because The Parallel Worlds Collection by Nyx was inspired by the movie "The Mortal Instruments". This is based on a series of books that I was not very familiar with, but as soon as I found out one of my favorite actors, ♥Jamie Campbell Bower♥,  was going to be in the movies, all of a sudden I had plenty of time to sit and read!  Can you believe it?!?!

Moving on ☺

This collection is awesome.  It's $25.00 of FUN and it includes the Smokey Eye Palette which I've been wanting for some time. I find that it is quite versatile, you can create looks with this for days.  The look I created was a simple "night out" kind of "sultry" look for me.

Hope you like it!

The Tools:

The Nyx Smokey Eye Palette

With this set you get:
 The Smokey Eye Palette
Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Cashmere
Nyx Blush in Pinched
Nyx Studio Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Le Frou Frou Mascara in Black
and Soft Matte Lip Creme in Istanbul

Awesome, huh?
So this is going to be pretty easy :-)

♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Cashmere to Lid
♥ Ulta Shadow in Naked from brow to crease
♥ From the Smokey Palette:
1. Royal Blue shadow to crease
2. Misty sparkly grey above crease
3. Black shadow to outer V and crease
4. Shimmery Beige to lid
5. White shadow lightly dusted to inner corners
♥ Black liner to lash and water line
♥ Black Mascara
♥ Red Cherry Lashes in 415's

♥ Nyx Blush in Pinched

♥ Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creme in Istanbul
I added a touch of gloss to finish the look, so I used:
♥ Nyx Round Lip Gloss in Kiss

I hope you like the look!  I really love this kit, I love that it's super affordable, versatile, cruelty free, and has some random affiliation with Jamie Campbell Bower!  All of my favorite things! ☺

Thank you so much for stopping by!
I truly love it when you do ♥
I hope you have a blessed week :-)

Tied With A Bow

Hey Everyone ☺

For this week's makeup look I wanted to do a really cute look using the cutest pair of decorative lashes EVER.  They are so cute it hurts!! (Don't worry... I will tell you where I got them!!) ☺

I wanted the lashes to be the star of the show, so I paired them with a simple neutral eye and a red lip.

Hope you like it! ☺

The Tools:

♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt to lid and lower lash line.
♥ Ulta shadow in Naked from brow to crease
♥ Nyx Love in Rio Palette in "No Tan Lines Allowed"
• Shade 2 to crease and lower lash line
• Shade 3 to outer V, crease, and edge of lower lash line
• Shade 1 to lid and inner corner
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to waterline, set with a white powder shadow
♥ Black Eyeliner and Mascara

(* Side note:  When I opened the lashes, one of the bows had fallen off its lash.
Crisis was easily averted by using regular eyelash glue to pop it back on again.
In the future, I may probably pop the bows off entirely and stick them to a different pair
of human hair lashes that are a bit fuller.  All in all, still incredibly adorable!)

♥ Ulta Powder Blush in Afterglow
Since this is a really playful look, I wanted really rosy cheeks ☺

It was pretty tough selecting the right red to use! Many were too blue or orange.
The winner for this look was:

♥ ELF Lipstick in Fearless.  $1.00!!  Gorgeous ☺

There you have it!!
I adore this look, and think bows should be on EVERY pair of lashes! Yay!

I hope you have a wonderful week!
Thank you so much for stopping by, I truly love it when you do ☺

P.S. Stay tuned! Exciting things coming ☺

Bright Blue/Greens with Sugarpill

Hey Everyone!☺

For this week's makeup look, I wanted to play with COLOR!  I feel like I've been doing a lot of neutral looks lately, and it's time to spice it up! ☺

I created a blue/green look using Sugarpill Cosmetics and I love the way it turned out!

Also:  I'm very excited to tell you that I FILMED the makeup application!  A lot of you have been asking for video makeup tutorials and I am definitely working on that!  I'm trying to iron out a few kinks with lighting, camera placement, edtiting, etc., so stay tuned!  It is a shame that the video didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, because Ivy made a very special unexpected appearance! It was hilarious!! Ha ha!!
I will be keeping you posted ☺
