Product Review: Jivesse Marine Collagen Cream

Hey, Everyone!

For today's post I am doing a review of Jivesse Marine Collagen Cream.  As many of you know, I have a professional background in skin care and I really do take it seriously.  This product has a lot of claims, from anti-aging to help with acne scarring, so after reading up on it it, I had to give it a try!

First of all, this product has one of the most unique packaging designs I've ever seen. It comes in a 1.7 fl. oz. pot, that is AIR TIGHT.  The product is dispensed through a sealed pump that cannot be removed.  This is designed to keep the product away from light and air, therefore it cannot be contaminated in any way, and it's potency remains intact.

In each metered dose, you get a densely hydrating, extremely fresh scented moisturizer. One of the claims of this product is that it is "time release", meaning that the nutrients and moisture continue to deliver as you wear it.  Personally, I am not certain of this, however I can say that after using this cream for over 30 days, I do feel my skin is very supple and hydrated. :-)

Jivesse cream is enriched with pure marine collagen peptides, called Peptan. This formulation of collagen helps to restore the smoothness and elasticity of our skin. In addition, this cream also contains Kakadu Plum extract, which is packed with wonderful vitamin C. Vitamin C is an incredibly powerful anti-aging ingredient, and one that I insist we all use on a daily basis.

When I first started using the product, my skin had a temporary minor breakout.  This is usually expected when starting a new skin regimen.  It quickly resolved, and I had no other issues as my skin adjusted. Overall, my skin looks and feels healthy and fresh. As far as reducing scarring, I do not have too many scars on my face, and the ones that I do have, I did not see much of a change.  I also have areas of hyper-pigmentation that did not change. However- this cream does not claim to be a skin lightener.

As an anti-aging cream, I am quite impressed with this product!  As I stated earlier, I feel that my skin has become more supple and has a healthier feel to it. I will continue to use it to watch for anti-aging benefits. Overall, this is an extremely luxurious and effective cream that is densely packed with nutrients for your skin.  If you would like to purchase it, you can find it here. ♥

Another high point for this product is that it is cruelty free!! ♥
Jivesse is also free from yeast, gluten, corn, starch, nut, lactose, and dairy.  :-)

Do you have a favorite anti-aging cream?

Thank you so much for stopping by!
I truly appreciate it when you do :-)

Halloween Makeup: Mystical Elf

Hey, Everyone!

I'm back this week with another Halloween makeup look!  I always love to do these because I get an opportunity to get creative and use my imagination :)  For this week's look, I created a really colorful "Mystical Elf" look using primarily Sugarpill eye shadows. I am also wearing an amazing wig from wigaholics.com. It's perfect for this bright, bold, colorful look that is full of fantasy. ♥

I LOVE how it turned out and I think this elf is precious. ♥

I hope you like the look!
Happy Halloween ♥

EYES:

♥ UDPP
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lid, lower lash, waterline, and brows
♥ Sugarpill Shadow in Tako (matte white) to inner corner and lower lash line
♥ Sugarpill Dollipop (bright matte pink) to lid, and above crease as transition.
I also applied this shadow to my brows
♥ Sugarpill Poison Plum (bright matte purple) to outer corner and crease
♥ Black Mascara
♥ Black eyeliner to top lashes
Amor US Lashes in #412

FACE:

♥ Maybelline Fit Me Foundation
♥ L'Oreal Pressed Powder
♥ Sugarpill Dollipop Shadow in areas of desired contour; nose, eyes, chin
♥ White eyeliner to create her facial design, or "shroud".  Elves have shrouds to represent a magical ability or a source of protection. I created my own magical shroud by placing dots wherever I liked :-)
♥ Nyx Pressed Blush in Pinched

LIPS:

♥ OCC Lip Tar in Hoochie
♥ White eyeliner to cupids bow and just under lower lip

HAIR:

I got this amazing wig from wigaholics.com. As you can see it is extremely dynamic, colorful, and full of VOLUME! The wig that I got is the Two Tone Pink/ Dark Violet Long Wavy 70 cm ($29).
It is is extremely comfortable as it has an adjustable strap inside the cap, so you can get a really great fit.  I found that the hair can be styled quite easily, as it moves naturally and is very soft. The wig came with a brush and a stand, which I really appreciated.
I love this gorgeous hair and this it's perfect for my Mystical Elf!  There are so many other beautiful wigs on that website, I can't wait to add more to my collection. LOVE this!!

There you have it!
Something fun for Halloween!!
Are you ready for the holiday?

Oh! And if you need ear tips, I got mine HERE

Have a blessed day :-)

Product Review: Maple Holistics

Hey, Everyone!

For today's post, I am excited to tell you about some products I received from Maple Holistics.  Maple Holistics is a cruelty free skin & hair care company that takes a therapeutic approach to their products. They use premium natural ingredients to create products that are hypoallergenic, gentle, and guaranteed.  You will not find any carcinogens, artificial fragrances, sulfates, or parabens in any of their items!  In addition, they use natural aromatherapy formulations with 100% pure essential oils, so their products are effective AND smell amazing!

With my background in skincare, I couldn't wait to try a few of their products, so I was thrilled when they arrived.  Usually when I do a product review, I commit a decent amount of time with each item so that I get a fair assessment of how it works for me. This is important to me because I look for RESULTS!  And these goodies really got my attention!!

Let me tell you about all of the products that I tried :-)

The first products I tried were the Natural Winter Blend Shampoo & Conditioner ($13.95 each)

This effective hair care combo is incredible for those of us who get really dry, brittle hair during the colder months.  The shampoo and conditioner help to infuse the hair and scalp with moisture and stimulation, while also adding strength and shine.  These products contains a blend of a variety of mints, so your scalp feels cool, and your hair smells amazing.  The shampoo left my hair feeling clean, and the conditioner added a silkiness that left me tangle free. :-)

Ancient Clay Facial Mask  ($15.99)

This product is AMAZING!  This facial mask is a finely milled combination of clay that detoxifies, purifies, and revitalizes the skin.  With this mask, you mix it in it's powder form with water, then apply to the skin.  As it dried on my skin, I felt an incredible suction, as impurities were being drawn out to the surface.  Clay masks are typically ideal for those with oily or problematic skin because they are extremely deep cleansing. They help to remove blackheads and refine the skin. This one is extremely effective! And the quality of the clay is top notch!

Peppermint Lip Balm

This is a lovely lip balm to have especially with the winter months coming up!
I love the minty fragrance and cooling sensation that this lip balm provides. The formulation is also very moisturizing and long wearing. This is great one to keep in your pocket :-)

Vitamin C Serum For Face   $11.77

This product is a showstopper!  This is the Vitamin C Facial Serum, and it is now a regular part of my skincare regime.  I am a firm believer in anti-aging serums, and I also know how important Vitamin C is to our skin.  It helps protect our skin from free radicals, tones, brightens, and helps to boost elasticity. I always use a serum, and have for years. This one is really special because it contains vitamins A, C, & E, and it also contains hyaluronic acid which is a magical fatty acid that infuses our skin with supple hydration.  I used this religiously for a few weeks, and my skin looks fresher, more toned, and is extremely soft.  Please note the $11.77 price tag on this!! That is a steal!

All in all, I was extremely impressed with Maple Holistics. The quality is incredible, and the products are very affordable.   Please check them out!  Also, their blogger connection is currently being sponsored by edumuch.com  Please check them out for more information as well!
