Butterfly

Hey, Everyone!

For today's post I am allowing a little bit of inspiration to take over. :)
(These posts are always my favorite... ♥)

I wanted to do something whimsical and sweet.
I've been inspired a great deal lately by butterflies, so let's roll with it ♥

I used some bold colors, lash accents, and gemstones, so this isn't exactly an "everyday" kind of look for all of us, but it's a lot of fun ;-)

What do you think?

EYES:

♥ Urban Decay Primer Potion
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lid and lower lash line
♥ Nyx shadow in Immaculate (matte cream) from brow bone to crease
♥ Sugarpill pressed shadow in Tako (white) to inner corner
♥ Deep blue shadow from the Coastal Scents 252 palette (pick your fave) to lid and lower lash line
♥ Sugarpill pressed shadow in Bulletproof (matte black) to outer V and crease
♥ Soft Periwinkle (from 252 palette) as transition above crease
♥ Black eyeliner to lash and water line
♥ Black mascara
♥ Red Cherry 605's
♥ Paperself Lashes in Deer and Butterfly (I just trimmed the butterflies that I wanted to use).
I applied the accent pieces to the edge of my lashes with Ardell Latex free clear glue.
This glue does not damage the paper lashes.☺
♥ Gemstones for fun :)

FOUNDATION & BLUSH:

♥ Maybelline Fit Me Foundation/ Shade 120
♥ L'Oreal True Match Pressed Powder
♥ City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon

LIPS:

♥ Milani Lip Liner in All Natural
♥ Nyx Round Lipstick in Ceto
♥ Nyx Lipgloss in Sorbet

What inspires you? ♥

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I truly love it when you do ♥
I hope you have a blessed week :)

Aromaleigh: Galactic Collection

Hey, Everyone!

For today's post I am extremely excited to be playing with some new duochrome shadows from Aromaleigh Cosmetics.  The shadows that I used are part of the new Galactic Collection and they are some of the shiftiest multi-dimensional shadows that I've played with in a long time!  I did purchase the entire collection, but for today's look, I am only featuring a few.  Stay tuned for more!

Note:  If you love these shadows, the website cannot be shopped until Thursday, so just make your list and be ready to purchase then ;-)

Ok!  For this look, I used a DARK primer (slate gray) on my upper lid, and a white primer on my lower lid. I really wanted a dramatic burst of color.
This was my first time working with the shadows, so it's a fun opportunity to swatch everything on my face and see how it goes :-)
I really LOVE them.

What do you think?

EYES:

♥ Urban Decay Primer Potion
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Slate to lid
♥ Ulta Shadow in Naked (matte vanilla) from brow to crease

Next, for my lower lid, I applied:
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lower lash line and waterline
♥ Aromaleigh Shadow in Oculus to inner corner of lower lash line

♥ Aromaleigh Shadow in Ophiucus to outside edge of lower lash line

Final Touches:
♥ Black Mascara
♥ Black Eyeliner
♥ Red Cherry Lashes in WSP

Isn't that color shift INSANE??
Can you imagine these shadows applied over different color primers??

I think each color I worked with is easily a stand alone color...
But, you know me... I like to BLEND. :-)

What do YOU think of these duochromes?

Maybelline: The Nudes Palette

Hey, Everyone :)

For today's post, I am showing off my current favorite Drugstore palette.  I purchased The Nudes Palette by Maybelline several weeks ago when I was doing makeup for a theatrical performance. I was really impressed with the quality of the shadows. The colors and pigmentation are awesome, even under the bright lights of the stage. :)

Among all of the neutral palettes and collections out there lately, this one is just as awesome. It has  beautiful neutral tones, great quality, and is extremely affordable ($10).
Not to mention it is super EASY to create a huge range of looks, from everyday wearable- to sultry smoky evening looks.

Today, I was in the mood for a little bit of both!

I hope you like it :)

GLITTER.

Some love it, some hate it, but it ALWAYS makes a statement!

I LOVE them!!  (See below for a pic of the palette☺)

The star of the show is Nyx Purple glitter, which has some blue interference to it, and it is really eye catching!
