Classic Black Smoky Eyes

Hi Everyone!

For this week's post I wanted to do a CLASSIC and sultry makeup look that is always a stunner! I went with a matte black smoky eye with some blended warm tones.  It's super easy to do, and can also be super easy to mess up, so it's best to start out light and build as you apply. I selected shadows from my J Cat Beauty 24 eyeshadow palette in Downtown LA.  The matte shadows in this collection are incredibly pigmented and rich, so a little goes a long way!

I completed the look with a dramatic pair of lashes and a glossy nude lip to give it a little Brigitte Bardot-Claudia Schiffer-Pamela Anderson feel to it.  😊

I hope you like it!

EYES:

♥ Urban Decay Primer Potion to lid
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Slate (deep gray) to lid and  lower lash line

♥ Shadow 2- Burgundy shadow to crease
♥ Shadow 3- Soft matte coral shadow as transition from crease to brow
♥ Shadow 4- Matte vanilla shadow to brow bone
♥ Black Eyeliner and Mascara

♥ Red Cherry Lashes in 217's

FOUNDATION & BLUSH:

♥ Maybelline Fit Me Foundation
♥ Maybelline Master Conceal

There is the completed look! I think this is one of my favorite classic makeup looks of all time.
It's simply gorgeous on every eye color and every skin tone!

What shades do you like to wear when you do a smoky eye?

Thank you so much for visiting! I truly love it when you do.

KillaBeauty Faux Mink Lashes

Hey, Everyone!!

For today's makeup look I'm trying out some faux mink lashes I recently picked up from KillaBeauty.com    I recently discovered them on Instagram, and they offer a variety of extremely affordable faux mink lashes in several styles.  At $5 a pair, I could try out as many as I wanted without breaking the bank.

I was REALLY impressed when they arrived, so I was super excited to finally try them out.  I noticed right away when I applied them that they are NOT for the faint of heart! These lashes are so LUSH and DRAMATIC that it might take a minute to get used to them. I found them extremely comfortable after I got them properly fit and seated, and they were very easy to wear.  I applied them using a latex based glue so that I could easily clean them up to be worn again.

I ordered 3 different styles, but for this look, I chose "Suki".  A very flirty pair of lashes! πŸ˜‰

I hope you like the look!
Here it is:

OCC Cosmetics: Technoir

Hey, Everyone!

For today's makeup look I wanted to do a deep and moody smoky eye, something blue and thoughtful (seems fitting for me at the moment).

I wanted a smoky eye with a little flair and edginess to it. Something dazzling and mysterious. So, for this look, I'm using one of my favorite shadows from OCC Cosmetics. It's a deep and faceted sultry blue called Technoir, and it makes for the best smoky eye regardless of eye color and skin tone (because there are no rules, actually πŸ˜‰ ).

So whether you are going out with the girls, having a fancy dinner out, or sitting at home post break-up drinking boxed wine and eating sleeves of girl scout cookies, I got you.
This look will suit almost any occasion. πŸ‘

Here's the look, I hope you like it. :)

Inspired Makeup: Celestial Star

Hey, Everyone!

I'm back this week posting a fun makeup look that is inspired by a badass lippie that I recently picked up. It's bold, it's metallic, it's super sparkly, and it's blue. πŸ’™

I LOVE when makeup brands create products that are otherworldly! It's the perfect inspiration for me to use my imagination and get creative. The only rule I live by when it comes to makeup is to experiment and have fun!

For this look, I really wanted to emphasize the bold lip, so I kept the eyes very neutral.  I added a metallic silver shadow to my lower lash line, and some other adornments for flair. πŸ˜‰

I hope you like the look! πŸ’‹
