Hey Everyone :)

As most of you know, I live in the desert and we don't really get much of a winter around here. It did get cold though for a minute, and I am still hoping that it hangs around for as long as possible!  I love the winter, especially up north in the mountains.  It's beautiful when it starts to snow. ♥

So I wanted to do a "winter inspired" makeup look complete with some adorably bedazzled lashes :)

The palette that I used for this came from a large kit that I got from Ulta.
This color collection was the perfect match for this look :)

♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lid and lower lash line
♥ Marilyn Miglin shadow in Modelite (soft vanilla shade) to brow bone,
down to crease
♥ Ulta shadow in Sapphire to crease
♥ Ulta shadow in Bayou blended to transition Sapphire up to crease
I also used this color on my lower lash line
♥ Ulta shadow in Galaxy to outer V, crease, and edge of lower lash line
♥ Ulta shadow in Ice Queen to lid
♥ Black Mascara and eyeliner
♥ Ardell Lashes in the style called "Fun" :)

♥ Ulta blush in Sweet Cheeks

♥ Juice Beauty Lip Gloss in Pink

I hope you are having a wonderful winter :-)
Stay warm! Thank you so much for stopping by; I truly love it when you do.

Best wishes to you ♥

Urban Decay Naked 3

Hey Everyone!

If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you will know that I finally got my hands on the coveted Urban Decay Naked 3 palette!  I really love this palette because I am a girl that loves my pinky mauve tones.  Personally, I love how easy to wear and flattering they are.  Also, they are gorgeous on so many skin tones!

With this palette, there are a million color combos you can come up with.  This was my first and I love how it turned out.

I hope you like it, too!

♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt to lid and lower lash line
♥ Shade #1 "Strange" to brow bone down to crease
♥ Shade #2 "Liar" to crease
♥ Shade #3 "Burnout" as transition from crease to brow bone
♥ Shade #4 "Blackheart" to outer V, crease, and outer edge of lower lash line
♥ Shade #5 "Dust" to lid
♥ Black eyeliner to lash and water line.
♥ Black Mascara
♥ Red Cherry lashes in #41's

♥ Nyx Powder Blush in Amber

♥ Wet N Wild lip liner in 666
♥ Nyx Round Lipstick in Ceto
♥ OCC Lip Tar in Feathered to center of lips.
This is an opaque white color.  I wanted a sultry nude lip for this makeup look.

There you have it. My first spin with the Naked 3 palette.
I am sure I will be back with more combos from this little gem :)

I hope you have a beautiful week ♥

Sugar Plum

Hey, Everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! It has been so busy for me that I haven't had much time to blog. Hopefully it will calm down here in a bit and I will be more visible- not just here, but I look forward to visiting my other favorite bloggers as well.

For this week's look, I have been dying to play with the Sleek Vintage Romance Palette. It is a perfect blend of sultry plums, royal blues, and shimmering golds.  It is indeed a very "romantic" collection of colors.

I created a flirty plum look using the palette and a few other goodies.  It is my idea of a lovely "date night" look that doesn't scream "MY FACE IS PAINTED" (LOL!), and I hope you like it!

 The Eyes:

♥ Marilyn Miglin Eyeshadow in Modelite from Brow to crease.
This is a matte vanilla tone.
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt to lid and lower lash line.
♥ Shade 1(rich plum) to lid and lower lash line.
♥ Shade 2 (shimmering black) to outer V, crease, and edge of lower lash line.
♥ Shade 3 (brandy color) to crease, blended softly up and out towards brow to transition
the colors softly.
♥ A touch of Nyx Roll on Shimmer in Mauve pink to the lid to add some sparkle :)

♥ Black Eyeliner to lash and water line.
♥ Black Mascara
♥ Red Cherry lashes 107's.  YES! These are my current faves!!

♥ Ulta Blush in Adore

♥ Tarte Lip Stain in Moody
♥ Ulta Super Shiny Gloss in Flirtini

I love how it turned out, and I love playing with these colors this time of year.
Thank you so much for stopping by; I treasure each one of you!

I want to say a very special thank you to YOU, my dear friends for all of your love, support, and kind words lately. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Some of you I have never met, but I feel that I've known most of you for years and years and would stop by your home with a casserole and a hug if you ever needed one! (Well maybe not a casserole- I'm not that good in the kitchen. Except cookies! I am awesome at cookies!! I'll bring cookies!)
Seriously, thank you. You mean the world to me. ♥

I wish you the very best holiday season.  Many blessings to you and yours!
Colleen ♥

Hey Everyone :-)

For this makeup look, I am taking some inspiration from a very sweet creature that is showing up in my life right now in some really wonderful ways :-)

I've always been mesmerized by hummingbirds.  Their colors, their joy, their energy. :-)

When I saw this picture of this little hummingbird, I fell in love!  It's absolutely beautiful.
I wanted to emphasize the bold colors and play up the delicate nature of this little sweetie.

And of course for something this colorful, you know I had to call on the amazing powers of Sugarpill Cosmetics!

I hope you like it ♥

Taking A Minute

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to write a quick post and let you know that I am taking a small break for myself following the passing of my beautiful Mother, Nadine on Tuesday November 5th.

She had been battling cancer, and during this battle she experienced a neurological event that brought about a very unexpected and swift decline.  She was surrounded by family, and I was holding her hand tight at the time of her passing.

I am broken :(  I am devastated to be without my Mother. So you can probably understand why I've been so quiet lately.  It has been my top priority to be with her as much as I could, and I am so grateful for the time we shared prior to her passing.

I know that my Mom would kick my ass if I blubbered on for too long here.  She was a fabulous woman who loved fashion and makeup, and she knew how passionate I am about my blog and makeup. I can sense that she would want me to get back to it as soon as I can.

I just need a minute.

I want to thank everyone that has been sending love and prayers.  I appreciate each and every one of you, and I send the love right back.

Thank you again ♥
You will see me real soon.

 I love you, Mom.

Mini Update

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to take a quick moment to apologize for being so quiet over here lately. I'm spending much needed time with my Mother who's health requires special care and attention.

I will be back as soon as I am able.

Thank you in advance for the well wishes and support.  It truly means the world to me.
