Mini Update

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to take a quick moment to apologize for being so quiet over here lately. I'm spending much needed time with my Mother who's health requires special care and attention.

I will be back as soon as I am able.

Thank you in advance for the well wishes and support.  It truly means the world to me.

Rose Marie Shadows 2013 Fall Collection

Hey Everyone!!

It's that time of year again when we start seeing the beautiful rich colors of the season! It is my pleasure to pair up with Melissa from Rose Marie Shadows to help present the new 2013 Limited Edition Fall Collection!

I've been a fan of this indie brand for years.  The colors are beautiful, intensely pigmented, affordable, and cruelty free!  So I was extremely excited when I was offered a "sneak peek" into the fall colors!

This collection will launch Monday, October 15th and will only be on sale for a limited time!
There are five colors which will be available as a complete set for $20.00, or $4.00 each :-)

The colors are knock-outs! Simply gorgeous if worn alone, or if paired up together.

I hope you like the look I created.  Happy FALL!

Here are the colors close up.

Sugar Plum

Blood Thirst

Collard Greens

Bronze Medal

Here is how I completed the look:

♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Cashmere to lid and lower lash line
♥ Ulta Shadow in Naked from brow to crease
♥ Harvest to inner corner of upper and lower lid
♥ Sugar Plum to center of lid
♥ Blood Thirst to outer corner
♥ Bronze Medal to crease, gently blending everything out
♥ Collard Greens to lower lash line
♥ Black eyeliner and mascara
♥ Red Cherry Lashes in 107's

♥ Ulta Blush in Afterglow

♥ Disney Lip Gloss in Evil Queen
I found this gloss a while back, it's the perfect Fall plum!

I love the colors, they are extremely beautiful and perfect for Fall!
I think that Harvest and Blood Thirst are two of the prettiest colors I've seen so far with Fall makeup.  Can't wait to show them off!

Thank you so much for stopping by :-)  I truly love it when you do!

Halloween Makeup Fun- Pixie Dust

Hey Everyone!

Every year for Halloween I like to come up with some fun makeup looks, and I'm excited to start playing again this year!

This is my favorite time of year because you can get really bold with your makeup and easily blame it on Halloween (ha ha!), and there are new products on the market that are geared toward the holiday, so you can stock up and really have a lot of fun. :-)

This look is inspired by an awesome pair of lashes I found at Target ($3.50), and my dear friend Katie Pie who is my real life pixie!!  I love you, Katie!!

I love the end result, I hope you do too!

♥ Urban Decay Primer Potion
♥ Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lid (and waterline)
♥ Ulta shadow in Naked from brow to crease
♥ Sugarpill Loose Shadow in Tiara all over lid up to brow bone
and lower lash line.
This is a stunning metallic silver with lots of dimension.

LA Splash Eyeshadow Sealer to lid. This is a great product to use when adhering glitter!
♥  J. Cat Beauty Glitter in Lion Silver to lid, patted on with a nice wide brush
This awesome glitter is silver with flashes of rainbow colors!

♥ Black eyeliner & mascara
♥ Ardell False Lashes in "Pixie Dust" to upper and lower lashes

♥  E.L.F. Powder Blush in Tickled Pink

♥ I applied some fun rhinestone appliques that I got from my craft store.
They don't adhere to skin very well, so I reinforced them with lash glue.

I tried two lip looks with this makeup, and I still can't decide which one I prefer :-)
The first one is the one you see above, where I used clear gloss with a mix of Sugarpill Tiara shadow and the silver glitter.

For the second look, I used Nyx Round Lipstick in Black Cherry.
This certainly "glammed" up the look!

This look was a lot of fun to create ☺ I hope you enjoyed it!
Happy (early) Halloween!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I truly love it when you do!

Product Review: Sleek Makeup Matte Lipstick- Plush

Hey Everyone!

For today's post I wanted to do a quick product review on a lip color that I was gifted by the beautiful and kind ladies over at Baobella :-)

Baobella is a lovely online community of beauty fanatics, bloggers, and professionals. It's a great place to share looks, ideas, and gain inspiration :-)  I love the encouragement and support that I get from everyone there-  they are truly lovely, so if you have a moment to visit, please do!

I had wished to post this much sooner (my sincerest apologies!!) but life got in the way a bit, so I do hope they can forgive me for my very delayed review!

Sleek Makeup Matte Lipstick in Plush

As you can see this is a very beautiful shade.  I would classify it as a cool toned "berry" color with an amazing level of intensity.  It is a gorgeous color for all seasons, especially fall :-)

I found that it was richly pigmented, and even after removal, the color remained on my lips with a light stain (I LOVE that!). The only downside to this product was that the formula seemed a bit dry.  I don't know if that was because it dried out in shipping from one extreme climate to me in the desert here (over 100 degrees!!), or if that is intentional for the product itself.  Personally, it didn't bother me too much, the color is stunning and versatile for many skin tones.

I would like to thank Baobella for the opportunity to try this gorgeous lippie, as this was my first Sleek product! This quickly led me to their website in which I scooped up some goodies for future blogposts and looks!! I can't wait to play :-)

Do you have a favorite go to lip color for fall?

Thank you so much for stopping by!
I truly love it when you do!
